The 4th edition of the Campeonato Portugues de Pizza took place on September 18th in Beira Rio, Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal.
Pizzas were the focus of the Italian Festival that enlivened the Gaia seafront between September 15th and 18th.
Organized by the Neapolitan Pizza Makers Association, the Neapolitan Pizza Makers Association in Portugal, led by Michele Mezzero, which aims to support and certify professionals in this sector, and the ASCIP Dante Alighieri, an association founded by General Angelo Arena and dedicated to the diffusion of the Italian language and culture in Portugal, this festival had a vast entertainment program, where the public could taste, among other delicacies, the best pizzas, including a brand new dish in Portugal: fried pizza!
But one of the highlights of this celebration was on Monday the 18th, with the Portuguese Pizza Championship.
